• Please refrain from personal attacks and outright rudeness. We believe there is always an inoffensive way to phrase your opinion. For example, "I disagree with your statement, because…" is more polite than "You would have to be an idiot to believe what you are spewing."
  
• Adult themes, whether in a contest entry or during a discussion, are welcome, but please be sure to label such material with a NSFW (Not Safe For Work) notation. Similarly, be aware of potentially triggering material. When in doubt about whether to warn for adult or triggering material, prudence is preferred.
  
• Post about illegal activity at your own risk. This community is not a safe space for confessing to breaking any laws.
  
• We promote a self-moderating community structure. We operate under the assumption that all our members are mature persons with the ability to deal with conflict constructively. Members occasionally step in to remind others to keep conversations respectful and safe, and we welcome such comments. However, if you would like a moderator to help you resolve an issue, feel free to ask -- we are more than happy to help.

• lalalaleigha (Leigha) is your go-to maintainer for any questions or concerns you have on the Flame. She's happy to take any suggestions, hear any concerns, or moderate conflict where necessary. Apart from that, Leigha also keeps the moderator team all working in the same direction, and she's ready and waiting for any members who would like to volunteer to run a mini contest or submit a chatter post!
  
  
• pipisafoat (pip) is our website team leader, editing mod, and occasional art mod all rolled into one. pip is the maintainer you should contact if you'd like to be added to or removed from the editor list, or if you have any other editing, web, or art concerns. pip can also answer questions or address concerns about the community at large.
  
  
• firesign10 (Carole) is the Flame's pollster extraordinaire! She's the maintainer responsible for generating the voting posts, ensuring they close on time, and has the pleasure of announcing each week's winner. Carole is also happy to answer questions about the community at large.
  
  
• thorarosebird (Thora) provides the other half of the ROAR responsibilities and is generally recognized as the odd-jobs extraordinaire! If Tox provides the motivation behind the community's development, Thora provides the heart, commenting on everything she can and exuding nothing but gusto and unqualified affection. Running madly around and learning everything that's on the Flame's moderation plate, Thora also provides backup to editing and polls.
  
  
• toxic_apiaceae (Mary) is half of our fantastic ROAR team ... which is a fierce understatement of her contributions. Toxie provides the ambition for community development when anyone else would've put their feet up long ago. Part-moderator, part-regular member, part-pure motivation, Tox sets the paradigm for doing a little bit of everything, and is happy to be of help to anyone who asks.
  
  
• katden (Kathy) is at once a member of the community at large and a member of the moderating team. She stays involved in the community and provides maintainers with the well-needed perspective we may not otherwise have. She'll happily point you in the right direction if you get turned around and otherwise provides a much-needed helping hand to the maintainers.
